My friend Michele over at A Small Victory is pulling together donations to buy school supplies for the many displaced children who are suffering in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The collected funds will be used to purchase the supplies and they will then be trucked to the Astrodome (and, I would imagine, other locations in Houston, as needed).
No matter how you feel about people who chose to ride out the storm, our children are the most helpless among us and we must do what we can to help them regain their childhood.
