Which Country Does He Call Home?

Randall Robinson, apparently a left-winger of some import, had this to say:

My hand shakes with anger as I write. I, the formerly un-jaundiced human rights advocate, have finally come to see my country for what it really is. A monstrous fraud.
See, that's strange, because here's what I have seen:

Americans have responded to the call for help with incredible speed and generosity, donating (last I heard) almost $200 million to the relief effort, helping in anyway they know how to get needed supplies to those suffering, opening their hearts and homes and pocketbooks to our fellow Americans in their hour of greatest need, with no concern for race or social status.

I have come to see my country for what it really is: A land populated with a people rich in generosity and kindess and sympathy. A nation that I am, more than ever, proud to call my home.

Mr. Robinson, it's not often I say such a thing - in fact, I often criticize others for saying it - but in this case, I believe that if you don't love this land, if you don't, despite its warts, see the great promise of America, then you are welcome to renounce your citizenship and get the hell out.

The rest of us will be busy demonstrating the spirit of America as we donate our time and money to our neighbors in need, regardless of their color.
