Enough Already!

Much like a stupid dog that keeps going back to the owner that kicks it, the Republicans still can't let the Schiavo matter drop.

Gov. Jeb Bush said Friday that a prosecutor has agreed to investigate why Terri Schiavo collapsed 15 years ago, citing an alleged time gap between when her husband found her and when he called 911.

Bush said his request for the probe was not meant to suggest wrongdoing by Michael Schiavo.

No? Every other card-carrying "Save Terri's Liquid Brain" Brigade member has certainly had few qualms about slandering Mr. Schiavo on little more than their own agenda-driven, tin-foil suspicions.

It's as if the "god of the gaps" argument has been taken and reshaped as the "guilt of the gaps." Not so oddly, the same people tend to make use of both.

Update: John Cole is on it too.
