Feeling relatively uninspired today, so I'll take this opportunity to fill you in on my literary and musical pursuits of the moment. Feel free to add your own to expand our horizons, leading us to new vistas of exemplary displays of the written word and auditory pleasure. Or tell us you're reading Michael Moore and listening to Blink 182. Either way.

The album is Dougie MacLean's "Tribute" - a collection of arrangements of Robert Burns' songs, and what I consider to be one of the best of Dougie's many albums. In particular, I enjoy his rendition of "Neil Gow's Lament." I had the pleasure of meeting Dougie a couple years ago at his pub in Dunkeld, Scotland, having a pint with him on our last night in the village. A very nice guy all around.
The book is Kerouac's "On The Road" - I'm sure you've heard of him at some point. The character Sal's thoughts as he approaches Denver were much like mine as I drove West across the desolate wasteland that is much of Kansas. Only six chapters in, so not much to comment on right now.
