We have been more than patient with Reverend Mykeru. We've overtly extended the hand of friendship...only to have it repeatedly bitten. We've explained our positions at excruciating length and in extensive detail, repeatedly emphasizing that simply because we think the war with Iraq was justified (it was,) that we don't necessarily believe in other aspects of the Bush White House's agenda. Total Information Awareness, the Halliburton "uncontracts," John Ashcroft's appointment to attorney general, etc. The list goes on and on.
I, for one, can't wait to see Bush out of office.
We've made this clear, any number of times.
Yet Reverend Mykeru insists on pigeonholing us as neoconservatives and RNC stooges.
I've finally, despite myself, reached my tolerance threshhold. He fills each comment thread with ill-advised, ill-conceived insults, pointless hijacks, inane drivel, and ludicrous slander backed up by flimsy premises and blatantly skewed cites. For God's sakes, he proudly displays a quote by Robert Fisk on his web page, as if Robert Fisk could be trusted to tell the truth about the hand he uses to wipe his ass, much less international events.
So, goodbye, Reverend. And if you get around the banning, I'll ban your new IP address. I'm sick of seeing you around. Go find your cheap thrills on somebody else's dime.
Andy sez: And for the rest of you in our sandbox, let's cool it with the insults and mud-slinging. OK? Consider this a polite suggestion.
