Give As Good As They Get

Battered Wife Syndrome is on the rise in Iran. Says sociologist Mohammad Ahmadi:

"Husband killing is a new phenomenon in Iran's male-dominated society. It means economic hardships and social crises are reaching a crisis point...."

Uh, no, Mohammad, what it means is that if your society thinks it is perfectly acceptable to beat your wife into submission, don't be surprised when a few of them decide to fight back and kick your ass. Or have someone else do the ass-kicking.
