Apparently the AP’s Erik Schelzig missed the lesson on “including relevant information,” as well as the most basic of U.S. government classes.
While writing about Al Gore lobbying The Red Hot Chili Peppers to play all of their songs that have sucked ever since “Under the Bridge” at Live Earth, Mr. Schelzig says:
The former vice president, who lost the 2000 presidential election to George Bush despite winning the popular vote, is promoting the Live Earth concerts to raise climate change awareness.
1. What does an election almost seven years ago have to do with this story? Answer: nothing.
2. Presidential elections are decided by the electoral college and not the popular vote, a point apparently lost on Mr. Schelzig, or perhaps lamented. This article, however, was not the place to whine.
