One of These Days, NASA

Pow! To the moon!

NASA announced Monday it will establish an international base camp on one of the moon’s poles, permanently staffing it by 2024, four years after astronauts return to the moon.

If you’re wondering why we should go back to the moon, NASA has laid out some of their thinking on the matter in the following broad concepts:

Human Civilization
Scientific Knowledge
Exploration Preparation
Global Partnerships
Economic Expansion
Public Engagement

And, of course, Spongmonkeys.

I bet you didn’t know that Laika was actually a spongmonkey, did you?
